Chaplain’s Corner: (Soror Assata Thomas, Christina Watley, Soror Andra Hopson)
- We serve as an internal ministry that proactively provides sorors with channels of spiritual connection.
- We strive to prevent the isolation of sorors who are experiencing life transition events such as the death of a loved one, divorce, birth/adoption of a child, job layoff, etc.
It is an honor to serve as Chaplain for this purpose-driven chapter—one that truly leads with love in all that we do.
In times like these, when our communities are navigating uncertainty, transition, and even loss, it is more important than ever that we remain grounded in faith, connected in love, and steadfast in purpose.
Our sisterhood is more than shared colors and letters; it’s a covenant of care. We lift one another when life feels heavy, we celebrate each other’s wins, and we remind each other that God’s promises still stand. Whether you’re in a season of harvest or a season of waiting, know that you are not alone.
As your Chaplain, my prayer is that this space continues to be one of encouragement, renewal, and reflection—a place where every Soror feels seen, supported, and spiritually restored. Together, we will keep pressing forward, walking in faith, and leading—always—with love.
With love, light, and sisterly grace,
Chaplain Assata M. Thomas
